Can I perform at Milk St. Studios?
Anyone can sign up to play at our “listening room” style open mic where artists get 15-20 minutes to perform for an attentive crowd. We can record audio and video of each performance and offer to the artist a mixed and mastered finished product of their set. This is a great way to be heard in an intimate setting and walk away with some high-quality promo content. Follow our socials or check our Website for where we post our signup sheet. where you can pick a time slot or you can reach out directly to be added to the list.
If you have a semi-polished act, you might be a good fit for “Live At The Milk St. Stage.” This event, run by a member of our Milk St. community, happens roughly every six weeks, and it’s where three different acts play 30-minute sets. We collect donations at the door to help pay the musicians. If you’re interested in being considered for this, we can make that connection for you.
We also do ticketed shows for polished and well-established acts that have a fanbase and can draw a crowd. For this event, we typically do a 20/80% split of ticket sales after we pay the live sound engineer. The first $100 goes to sound, 20% goes to the house, and the rest goes to the artists. This means that the artists have to be very active in promoting the show and selling tickets.

-
Do you have any monthly rooms available?
All of our monthly rooms are currently occupied but sometimes we have tenants that are looking to share space and take on extra “roommates.” If this is something you’re interested in, we can try and connect you with some current renters and then it’s up to you and them to sort the details.
